A teen ghost show for after-prom and graduation partiesTen teens at a time walk into a dark room for a twenty-minute ghost show. They come out screaming, laughing, and getting right back in line.
The story starts in a gray English mill town in the 1950s. Someone was killing people, and every witness described the same thing: a figure with a painted white face. The police arrested a circus clown, and the courts hanged him.
Then another body turned up, with white greasepaint on her coat. They had hanged the wrong man.
I have a small tin of things that came out of that circus. Your teens are going to open it, and they're going to try to find out who the real killer was.

Ten teens sit around a candlelit table in a room that's been made completely dark. I tell them the story. Then I hand it over to them.
One of them puts on a dead man's glove. Someone's own phone starts receiving messages that nobody in the room sent. A small doll lifts itself off the table. A dark smudge appears on the palm of someone who swears they never touched anything.
And then the lights go out. I'm not going to tell you what's waiting in the corner. I'll just tell you that every group screams, and then every group laughs.
It runs all night in its own room, ten at a time. The line becomes part of the party.
The trailer
Teens, a minute after the lights came back on
An after-prom committee has one job: keep a few hundred students happy, busy and safe until morning. CLOWN is designed for exactly that.
A graduation party has the same problem as an after-prom, on a smaller scale. The adults are happy talking in the yard. The graduate's friends are looking at their phones by the second hour.
CLOWN fixes that. A basement, a garage or a spare room becomes the ghost room, and the teens go through ten at a time while the party carries on outside. Add the hypnosis show and the whole party, grandparents included, ends up watching the graduate's friends on stage.
It works the same way for sweet sixteens, teen Halloween parties and any other night you want a houseful of teenagers to put their phones down.

Most of my after-prom, grad night and graduation party work starts with a comedy hypnosis show for everyone. Teens volunteer to come up front, and before long they believe they're millionaires, that they've gone invisible, or that the entire audience has turned into cats.
It's 100% voluntary. Nobody is made to look foolish, and nobody comes up who doesn't want to. The volunteers end up the stars of the night, and everyone watching laughs the whole time.
Choose a 60-minute show, or a 90-minute show that opens with mind-reading demonstrations before anyone is hypnotized. Then CLOWN runs in a side room for the rest of the night.
"We had Cris perform at our daughter's high school graduation party. He was fantastic! His hypnosis show was hilarious and fun! Our guests have said this is the best graduation party they attended."Mary, graduation party host
"This was our second year using Cris for our Senior Bash. He did a great job with the kids, very funny and entertaining! He is also very easy to work with and professional. Overall we were very pleased and hope to have him back next year!"Marina, Senior Bash committee
"Each small group was thoroughly entertained and amazed. The looks on some of their faces included shock, awe, and melting doubt. We already booked Cris for next year's trip!"Ellen Greenberg, Social Studies Teacher, Longwood High School senior class trip
The details
It builds slowly, like a ghost story told by candlelight, and ends with one real jump in the dark. That's the moment they scream about afterward. Nobody is grabbed, chased or touched by anything. The lights come back up right away, and the laughing starts about two seconds later.
Then they don't go in. CLOWN is something teens line up for, never something they're put into. Anyone can step out at any point, and I tell every group that before we start.
It's theater. I'm a performer, not a medium, and I don't claim to contact anyone. The story is told as if it were true, because that's what makes a ghost story work. I'm happy to talk through any of it with you or your committee.
After-prom committees usually book between January and April. Graduation parties pile up on the same few June weekends, and the Saturdays go first. If your date is set, it's worth asking now.
Tell me the date, the town or school, and roughly how many teens. You'll get an answer and an exact price the same day. If your guests don't enjoy it, you don't pay.
